What to Expect:
Frequently Asked Questions About Services, Fees, and Getting Started

Choosing the right provider is an important decision. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about services, scheduling, fees, telehealth, and what to expect when working with Embrace Neurodiversity. If you do not see your question answered here, please feel free to contact us.

Your first visit focuses on understanding who you are, what you’re good at, and what you want support with. We’ll talk about strengths, challenges, goals, and day-to-day functioning. Together we will cultivate a plan that fits your needs and goals.

We support neurodiverse adolescents, adults, parents, and families. Our services are especially helpful for individuals navigating school, work, independence, relationships, and identity development.

Services include psychological and skills assessment, skills-based intervention, parent consultation, adult support, and guidance around education, employment, and independent living. Services are individualized and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Our work is skills-based and goal-focused. While services are provided by licensed professionals, the emphasis is on understanding strengths, building practical skills, and supporting meaningful participation in daily life—not trauma treatment or crisis services.

Yes. We regularly work with parents and caregivers to provide coaching and practical strategies that support long-term success and independence. We also offer behavioral parent training (Triple P) for families that are having difficulty with managing challenging behaviors or are experiencing a transition, such as divorce or helping a child "launch" into community.

Yes. All services are currently provided through secure telehealth or in the environment the behaviors/concerns take place. While we do offer in-person therapy in the Tampa Bay Area, telehealth allows individuals and families throughout Florida to access specialized services from the comfort of their home, office, dormitory, or other private location.

Research consistently supports telehealth as an effective option for many therapy, coaching, consultation, and assessment services. Many clients appreciate the flexibility, convenience, and reduced travel demands that virtual services provide.

Embrace Neurodiversity does not participate directly with insurance plans. However, many clients choose to use out-of-network benefits. We can provide detailed receipts (superbills) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan.

Possibly. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network reimbursement benefits for mental health services.

Upon request, a superbill can be provided for clients who wish to submit claims to their insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider directly to determine your specific out-of-network benefits.
