What to Expect

What should I expect during my first visit with Embrace Neurodiversity?

Your first visit focuses on understanding who you are, what you’re good at, and what you want support with. We’ll talk about strengths, challenges, goals, and day-to-day functioning. Together we will cultivate a plan that fits your needs and goals.

Who does Embrace Neurodiversity work with?

We support neurodiverse adolescents, adults, parents, and families. Our services are especially helpful for individuals navigating school, work, independence, relationships, and identity development.

What services does Embrace Neurodiversity offer?

Services include psychological and skills assessment, skills-based intervention, parent consultation, adult support, and guidance around education, employment, and independent living. Services are individualized and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Is Embrace Neurodiversity a therapy practice?

Our work is skills-based and goal-focused. While services are provided by licensed professionals, the emphasis is on understanding strengths, building practical skills, and supporting meaningful participation in daily life—not trauma treatment or crisis services.

Do you work with parents and families?

Yes. We regularly work with parents and caregivers to provide coaching and practical strategies that support long-term success and independence. We also offer behavioral parent training (Triple P) for families that are having difficulty with managing challenging behaviors or are experiencing a transition, such as divorce or helping a child "launch" into community.

Do you accept insurance?

Embrace Neurodiversity does not participate directly with insurance plans. However, many clients choose to use out-of-network benefits. We can provide detailed receipts (superbills) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan.

Is Embrace Neurodiversity a crisis service?

No. Embrace Neurodiversity does not provide emergency or crisis care. If you or your child are in immediate distress, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Appointments can be requested through our contact form or by reaching out via phone or email. We’ll respond with next steps and help determine whether our services are a good fit for your needs.

Still have questions? We’re happy to help—just reach out.
